What shapes the way I look at fashion? Not one trend. It is colour, material, cut and, above all, the people and encounters around it.
This weekend in Munich brought many of those things together: Katharina Hovman’s Summer 2027 collection on Praterinsel, Supreme Women & Men, and a rooftop party above the city.
At Katharina Hovman on Praterinsel
In the white vaulted showroom, Katharina Hovman had arranged the pieces by colour. Earthy tones sat beside Jade, lilac and a vivid pink. Fabrics you want to touch. Cuts a woman can wear without feeling dressed as somebody else.

I tried on two coats: a light summer coat in Jade and a Night Blue trench in fine taffeta. Both feel beautifully made without appearing complicated. That balance matters to me. A distinctive piece may have presence, but it still has to work in real life.

A black pair of Pure Pants also caught my attention. The tag read simply: Designed in Germany, Produced in Europe. It reflects what I value in the collection. Material, cut and workmanship remain at the centre.

Looking closely at Supreme
A buying fair is not a quick walk through for me. I look carefully. How does a fabric fall? How is an edge finished? Which colour still feels right after the first impression? Above all, which piece has personality?
Between collections, details and many conversations, a picture slowly begins to form. Not every trend belongs in my shop. I look for pieces that can surprise and still bring pleasure beyond a single season.
At Cute Stuff, the colourful knitwear and scarves immediately caught my eye. The brand is also part of my selection at Trixi Gronau.

An evening above the city
Later I met friends who have known me for many years. We celebrated on a rooftop with a wide view across Munich. Evenings like this are part of these trips for me. Fashion is the reason to travel. The people are the reason to return.

What I bring back to Hamburg
I never return with a ready-made trend formula. I return with colours, fabrics, conversations and questions. They shape the way I edit the fashion selection at Trixi Gronau. What feels individual without being loud? What feels good? What belongs in a real life?
Days like these sharpen my view of fashion. That is why I keep returning to Munich.
